Zappfresh, a fresh meat delivery startup, raised Rs 30 crore (approx. $3.6 million) in the latest funding. The investors who participated in the round were Ah! Ventures, HT Media, Unity SFB, and Heifer Impact. The company stated that the new investment will be used for acquisitions, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades in both the North and South markets. The company will also expand its product offerings.

Zappfresh is an online brand focusing on fresh meat delivery and ready-to-cook meals. The company guarantees same-day delivery within 2 hours or as per the customer’s schedule. When it comes to meat that is available in the local market, the quality is not up to par. Many times, it contains preservatives, and antibiotics are also fed to the animals to compensate for the unhygienic, overburdened slaughterhouses. But Zeppfresh guarantees the fresh meat, which is antibiotic- and preservative-free. They have partnered with high-quality farms where the animals are raised in a hygienic environment and no hormones or antibiotics of any kind are fed to them.

With this investment, the company also mentioned that they plan to launch a variety of new product lines, including poultry, goat meat, seafood, etc.

The company’s co-founders are Deepanshu Manchanda and Shruti Gochhwal, and it is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
