Zomato’s global head of finance and Hyperpure CFO Hemal Jain resigns

Hemal Jain, Zomato’s Global Head of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Hyperpure, has resigned from the company, marking the second major resignation for the foodtech firm in the final quarter of calendar year 2024.

In a stock exchange filing on Monday, Zomato announced that Jain will be exploring other opportunities, with her last working day scheduled for January 31, 2025.

As per her LinkedIn profile, Jain led business finance, FP&A, central procurement, and finance operations across Zomato and Blinkit businesses. She spent over six years at the Deepinder Goyal-led company.

While the exact reason for Jain’s resignation remains unclear, the development follows Zomato receiving a demand notice of Rs 803 crore (approximately $100 million) from the GST department.
