Karkhana.io, which offers flexible and scalable manufacturing services, has raised $6.3 million in its Series A funding round. The investment was led by Arkam Ventures and SIG Venture Capital, with participation from the existing investor Vertex Ventures.
Karkhana.io is working towards bringing transformative change to India’s MSME sector. The company helps suppliers with business growth and digitization. MSMEs can get access to support on costing, capability matching, project tracking, and quality control to improve their business and manufacturing supply chain.
The new investment will be used by the company for strategic expansion in the US and European markets, strengthening supplier relationships, and optimizing the electronics supply chain, as mentioned by Sonam Motwani, the founder and CEO of Karkhana.
The startup currently has around 500 suppliers across various product categories and sectors, including EVs, consumer electronics, medical equipment, and aerospace, and the company intends to increase the supplier base to 3000 in the coming future.
The company is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
