India’s first health-conscious dinnerware brand, BlackCarrot, has announced a milestone seed funding round with support from We Founder Circle, EvolveX accelerator, and Suraj Nalin, Co-Founder of PlaySimple Games. The funding marks a significant step in the brand’s mission to revolutionize dining experiences by offering safe and stylish alternatives to traditional dinnerware.
The investment builds on BlackCarrot’s earlier collaboration with Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia and Agnello Dias, Co-Founder of Taproot Dentsu, who joined as equity partners. Recognized as a Start-up by the Government of India, BlackCarrot is disrupting the dinnerware market with its innovative product range, including Bone China (Animal Bone Ash)-free crockery, 304 food-grade stainless steel cutlery, and lead-free glasses.
“The Indian dinnerware market is evolving, with consumers becoming increasingly aware of the safety and materials of products they use daily,” said Co-Founders Yadupati Gupta and Vishal Gupta. “This funding will help us scale our growth across all channels, including our website, marketplaces, and quick commerce platforms.”
Neha Dhupia expressed her enthusiasm for the brand’s progress, stating, “BlackCarrot’s commitment to creating dinnerware that’s stylish, safe, and healthy resonates deeply with me. I’m thrilled about our growth journey alongside our new investors.”
As the dinnerware market undergoes a transformation, BlackCarrot’s dedication to offering sustainable and health-conscious options positions it as a trailblazer in the industry. The brand’s products prioritize safety and well-being while maintaining style, making it a preferred choice for the modern Indian household.
With the backing of prominent investors and a strong leadership team with expertise in investment banking and consumer goods, BlackCarrot is set to redefine dining in India and beyond. This funding will accelerate its mission to provide healthier, more sustainable solutions, ensuring a lasting impact on Indian households, one innovative product at a time.
