Deep Algorithm Raises $1.25M to Scale AI-Powered Fraud Prevention in BFSI Sector

Mumbai-based cybersecurity and AI startup Deep Algorithm Solutions has raised Rs 10.8 crore (~$1.25 million) in a seed funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from select angel investors. The company, which specializes in AI-powered fraud prevention for high-risk digital finance ecosystems, will use the funds to scale product integrations, talent, and market expansion.

Founded in 2021, Deep Algorithm is building enterprise-grade tools to combat advanced cyber threats. Its product suite includes adapIDAI, a behavioral intelligence engine for adaptive identity verification, and BotShield, a robust platform that provides zero-day threat protection, DDoS mitigation, and runtime application security.

The startup operates on a B2B model, delivering fraud analytics and continuous authentication tailored to industries like banking, finance, healthcare, and government institutions. The company has already deployed live solutions across a private bank, a government agency, and a leading hospital, showcasing its readiness for real-world impact. It also holds a government-issued patent and has filed for international IP protection.

With the new funding, Deep Algorithm plans to expand its engineering and threat intelligence teams, strengthen GTMs across India and Southeast Asia, and deepen integrations with widely used platforms like Azure AD and Okta. The firm is also building out SaaS-based tools and analytics dashboards to serve mid-market organizations and cybersecurity risk teams more efficiently.

Looking beyond India, Deep Algorithm is exploring partnerships in Kenya, South Africa, and the UAE—regions that are increasingly becoming digital finance hubs but remain underserved in terms of advanced fraud detection infrastructure.

As cyber threats grow more sophisticated, Deep Algorithm is positioning itself at the intersection of AI innovation and financial security, working to ensure trust and safety across digital ecosystems.
