BrainSightAI, a pioneering deep-tech neuroscience startup, has successfully raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from IvyCap Ventures Advisors Private Limited, Silver Needle, and existing investors.
The capital infusion will accelerate BrainSightAI’s expansion into Tier I and II cities across India, while facilitating its entry into markets in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the US, where the company aims to achieve FDA certification. The funds will also be utilized to advance R&D for a caregiver-focused app designed to assist families of patients with brain disorders.
“We are very excited by the potential of connectomics to advance personalized brain care for patients, and I believe in the long run, for everybody. The support of stellar investors who share our mission is a tremendous boost as we build for the world from India,” said Laina Emmanuel, Co-founder and CEO of BrainSightAI.
Founded in 2019 by Laina Emmanuel and CTO Dr. Rimjhim Agrawal, BrainSightAI combines artificial intelligence and neuroscience to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of neuro-oncological and neuropsychiatric disorders. The company’s flagship products include:
Voxelbox: An fMRI processing engine integrated with machine learning models to enable precise diagnostics.
Snowdrop: A patient care app designed to improve treatment compliance and patient profiling.
By mapping macro-scale neural connections, BrainSightAI’s technology democratizes access to advanced brain-mapping capabilities previously exclusive to elite institutions like Harvard and Stanford.
“BrainSightAI’s mission to democratize access to personalized brain care is inspiring. The connectomics platform, VoxelBox, is a groundbreaking innovation in brain physiology, poised to transform diagnosis and treatment globally,” said Priyank Garg, Managing Partner of IAN Alpha Fund.
The startup’s commitment to driving impactful healthcare solutions has positioned it as a leader in neurodiagnostic innovation. With this funding, BrainSightAI aims to bring its advanced technology closer to patients and caregivers worldwide, reshaping the future of brain health.
