Klassroom Edutech, a trailblazing edtech startup, is set to revolutionize India’s educational landscape with a renewed focus on AI-powered technology, content creation, and expansion into new regions. Founded in 2016 by the mother-and-son trio Alka, Dhruv, and Dhumil Javeri, Klassroom is blending online and offline learning to make education accessible to students across urban and rural settings.

The startup has raised over $1.5 million in funding to date, using the latest infusion to further its mission of educational accessibility and holistic learning. Klassroom’s hybrid model aligns with India’s NEP 2020 guidelines, combining a network of over 200 offline learning centers in 600 cities with robust online learning platforms. This dual approach has already reached more than 500,000 students.

Suniel Shetty Scholarship and Growth Metrics
Adding star power to its initiatives, Bollywood actor and entrepreneur Suniel Shetty is actively supporting the startup through the Suniel Shetty Scholarship Scheme. The program is designed to open doors for underprivileged students, fostering opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Klassroom boasts remarkable financial performance in the competitive edtech sector. Over the past three years, the startup has delivered a 7X wealth growth to investors while achieving profitability. With a 35% EBITDA margin and 20% PAT profitability, Klassroom projects 3X year-on-year revenue growth and reports consistent week-on-week improvements.

Strategic Partnerships and Expansion
A key milestone for Klassroom is its recent partnership with the Government of Rajasthan. Through an MoU, the startup will deliver skill development courses to 300,000 students across 3,000 schools. This initiative underscores Klassroom’s commitment to addressing the skill gap and preparing students for future opportunities.

The company’s OTT app has also gained significant traction, with 50,000 subscribers in its first year. It offers diverse learning resources, from academic subjects and competitive exam prep (IIT-JEE, CA, CS) to skill-based training, career development courses, and language learning.

Edtech Landscape and Future Prospects
With $568 million raised by Indian edtech startups in 2024, Klassroom stands out for its focus on profitability and innovation. Its AI-driven technology and hybrid learning models have positioned it well to navigate the challenging funding environment anticipated for 2025.

“Klassroom’s vision is to make education affordable, accessible, and effective,” said co-founder Dhruv Javeri. “Our AI-driven platform and strategic partnerships are key to empowering students and redefining the edtech experience.”
