Mumbai-based Snabbit, a quick-commerce startup focused on 15-minute home services, has raised $5.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Elevation Capital. The round saw participation from Nexus Venture Partners and angel investors, including Meesho’s Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal, Unacademy’s Gaurav Munjal, and Niraj Singh from Spinny. The funds will support Snabbit’s expansion across Mumbai neighborhoods and strategic team hires.
Launched in 2024 by Aayush Agarwal, Snabbit offers hyperlocal, quick, and affordable services in categories such as dishwashing, laundry, home cleaning, and kitchen preparation. Recognizing the gap in high-frequency home services during his tenure at Zepto, Agarwal conceptualized Snabbit as a solution for everyday household needs. “While cab, food, and grocery services have achieved convenience, no player addressed quick, affordable home services,” Agarwal explained.
Snabbit’s approach is driven by quality and efficiency, with technicians trained and deployed within 15 minutes of a request. Outreach programs target low-income communities to onboard partners, who undergo rigorous screening and training in technical, behavioral, and social skills. The startup guarantees a minimum income for its 100+ partners, with additional incentives based on attendance, ratings, and performance milestones.
The platform’s unique time-based pricing model offers flexibility for customers, charging an hourly fee rather than a task-based rate. “Customers pay for the expert’s time at their home. Each partner is trained across a wide range of services, ensuring flexibility and convenience,” Agarwal noted. The app takes a commission from each transaction, ensuring a sustainable revenue model.
“Snabbit is redefining quick, on-demand home services with its hyperlocal network of trained professionals,” said Manish Advani, Vice President at Elevation Capital. “Their unique approach combines reliability, quality, and speed, setting them apart in the home services market.”
Snabbit’s future plans include expanding its service catalog to include baby care, elderly care, and cooking, while maintaining a focus on high-frequency, low-ticket services. “Our goal is to maximize wallet share rather than ticket size, catering to India’s preference for affordable, frequent services,” Agarwal added.
With its innovative model and new funding, Snabbit aims to transform the home services industry, making everyday tasks convenient, reliable, and swift for Indian households.
