SaaS-based data security startup Klarytee has raised £700,000 (approximately $885K) in pre-seed funding. The investment was backed by Concept Ventures along with prominent angel investors, including Michael Coates (former Twitter CISO), Evelyn Bourke (former group CEO of Bupa), Brad Cable (ex-managing director of Accenture), Desigan Chinniah (board member of The Tor Project), and the founders of cyber security company Digital Shadows.

Klarytee is a SaaS-based data security solution that builds security into sensitive content to enable granular control in AI, public cloud, and SaaS. Its encryption and access control follow the data wherever it goes, ensuring consistent security and compliance.

The startup has also partnered with Microsoft and is provided as an add-in for Microsoft Word. It can protect sensitive data in documents from leaking to AI and SaaS and prevent unauthorized access. It can simply be downloaded from Microsoft and integrated into the document workflow to enable encryption, decryption, and authentication.

The company’s founder and CEO is Dr. Nithin Thomas, and it is headquartered in London, England, United Kingdom.
