Earthful, a plant-based health and nutrition D2C brand, has raised Rs 3.3 crore (approximately $400K) in the pre-seed round. The investment was led by Green Ivy Venture, with participation from angel investors including Abhishek Goyal (cofounder of Tracxn), Jayant Paleti (cofounder of Darwinbox), and Brij Bhushan (cofounder of Magicpin).

The new funds will be spent by the startup on further research and development, building an omnichannel presence, and team expansion.

Co-founded by sisters Sudha Gogineni and Veda Gogineni, Earthful claims to provide 100% plant-based health and nutritional products, which mainly include multivitamins, vegan protein in various flavors, and supplements for skin and bones. The products are mainly focused on what Indian consumers need and contain ingredients that are backed by modern science.

With the increase in lifestyle diseases, the adoption of nutritional supplements has risen, and Earthful has also shown a 15% month-on-month growth in the past year. The market for plant-based supplements is broad, and the rapidly expanding Indian market will help the firm thrive.

The company is headquartered in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.
