Wonderful Raises $34M

Israeli AI startup Wonderful has successfully raised $34 million in a seed funding round led by Index Ventures, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and Vine Ventures. The funding follows an earlier $4 million raised from angel investors and reflects the company’s strong momentum in the AI space.

Founded in early 2025 by Bar Winkler (CEO) and Roey Lalazar (CTO), Wonderful has developed a system of AI agents that manage voice, chat, and email interactions—specifically optimized for non-English-speaking markets. Winkler previously founded Approve.com, which was acquired by Tipalti in 2021, while Lalazar was behind Kaps, an AI-powered localization platform.

The startup has already started commercial operations in Israel, with key clients including Bezeq and Maccabi Health Services. The AI agents built by Wonderful can handle a wide range of customer service tasks without human intervention, and the company has tailored its technology to operate fluently in Hebrew.

According to Winkler, the startup moved quickly from product development to sales, building a 50-person engineering team in just a few months. By mid-2025, Wonderful was already in sales discussions with organizations in banking, mobile, and insurance sectors. Their early traction and ability to demonstrate fast execution helped close the venture funding round swiftly.

With a clear plan to scale globally, Wonderful aims to revolutionize how call centers operate in regions where English is not the primary language, opening up new possibilities for AI-driven customer service solutions worldwide.
