Quandela has raised €50 million in the recent Series B funding round. The investment was raised from investors, the French government through the France 2030 plan, and banking partners. The investors who co-led the funding round were Serena, Credit Mutuel Innovation, and the European Innovation Council Fund (EIC), with participation from existing investors Bpifrance, OMNES Capital, and Quantonation.

Quandela is a photonic quantum computing company providing hardware, middleware, and software solutions to industrial clients. The computing platform provided by the startup is modular, upgradable, and interconnected, which is scalable by design. The startup also delivered its first quantum computer recently to OVHcloud, which is a big European cloud leader.

The new investment will be utilized by the startup for international expansion and to increase production capacity to meet the needs of industrial clients. The startup has already established its market in Germany and now aims to solidify its position in North America and Asian markets. The company will also invest in the workforce to face the challenges of expansion.

The company’s Co-founders are Valérian Giesz (CEO), Niccolo Somaschi (CTO), and Prof. Pascale Senellart (CSO), and it is headquartered in Massy, Île-de-France, France.
