D2C hair extensions brand, HairOrginals, has completed the Pre-Series A funding round with $2.75 million. The investors who participated in the funding were Anicut Capital, Kesh Kala Family Office, Dexter Angels, Lets Venture, JITO Angel Fund, Pankaj Chaddah (former co-founder of Zomato), and Ahana Gautam (founder of Open Secret).

The HairOriginals brand is focused on providing 100 percent natural hair extensions and wigs procured most ethically. The hair donated at Indian temples is auctioned by temple trusts, and the money is used for the betterment of society. This same natural hair is procured by the startup, which goes through a manufacturing process to provide the natural and best-quality hair extensions and wigs.

The startup was also featured in Shark Tank India Season 1, and with the support of the investor sharks, it has expanded from three cities to 12 cities since then. With this investment in Pre-Series A, the startup is planning to expand its reach with advanced experience centers across 25 major cities in India.

The company’s founder and CEO is Jitendra Sharma, and it is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
