Bharat Housing Network raised Rs 125 crore (approx. $15 million) in the recent Series A funding round. The investment was led by the NABVENTURES Fund, with participation from Varanium NexGen Fund, 9Unicorns, Riverwalk Holdings, SMK Ventures, DMI Sparkle Fund, LC Nueva, and others.

As per the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 25 (1), adequate housing is also recognized as a human right, so Bharat Housing Network is also working with that vision in mind. It is working on a co-lending model with a focus on the affordable housing sector. The startup helps affordable housing finance institutions with capital, technology, and infrastructure to drive co-lending and make affordable housing loans simpler, faster, and more efficient.

The company’s Co-founders are Lalit Menghani, Madhusudan Sharma, and Prasad Ajinkya, and it is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
